Rhinotaur:
As part of the 2004 Honiton Festival, The East Devon District Council commissioned several artists to create installations in pubic sites around Honiton, celebrating the East Devon coastal region's recent recognition as a world heritage site. Our brief was to respond to the fossils and Jurassic heritage of the area. My site for the project was a cabinet in the corner of the Honiton Museum.

My piece consisted of text and reconstruction. The space I was given was right next to the fossils cabinet in the museum. I used the format of

a figure designed to look like a plaster cast museum reconstruction. Though the body was not cast, but sculpted, or built, layer by layer. (The body is Crystical plaster and the head hemp and latex) The piece was the interaction between this figure and the text, which was mounted on the cabinet like information.
